November 1, 1870, the Climate Office makes its first weather forecast.

On this day (November 1), 1870, in the United States, the Weather Bureau makes its first weather forecast.
The Weather Bureau (Weather Bureau) became the National Weather Service (National Weather Service ) and is one of the six scientific agencies that make up the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) of the United States federal government.
The NOOA of the US federal government has six agencies;
  1. National Weather Service (NWS)
  2. National Ocean Service (NOS)
  3. National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS)
  4. National Environmental Satellite Data and Information Service (NESDIS)
  5. Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR)
  6. Program Planning and Integration of Programs

All these agencies collect information and after analyzing it, they relay this information in the form of ocean charts, weather warnings, predictions...

In the US there is a lot of controversy between the public weather forecasting sector and the private sector like AccuWeather. The National Meteorological Service offers its data for free and that competes with private services unequally according to the latter.
